The mission of Out of this World Café (OTW) is to assist the community by employing current in-patients and out-patients of the psychiatric community, increasing their communal integration by providing real-world experience to those faced with mental illness. At the same time Out of This World Café provides the surrounding community with great food at great prices.

EcoEquitable

Situé à Ottawa, EcoEquitable est une entreprise sociale à but non lucratif qui crée des possibilités d’emploi destinées aux femmes immigrantes. Ces femmes qui travaillent à EcoEquitable utilisent leurs compétences de couturières pour produire une gamme de sacs tendance à partir de dons locaux de textiles inutilisés. EcoEquitable se concentre sur des contrats de couture et de réparation, la production et la vente d’articles recyclés. EcoEquitable détourne les rebus textiles donnés par des entreprises et des organismes locaux et des membres de la communauté hors de la décharge et informe la communauté sur les impacts positifs du recyclage textile dans le développement durable de la collectivité.

True North Community Cooperative

True North is a non-profit, community-based co-operative in Thunder Bay, Ontario aimed at building community resilience in Northern Ontario through a stronger localized economy. The co-operative provides an opportunity for regional producers to market their goods at a fair price and for Northern Ontarians to access quality, regionally produced foods and handcrafts.

Operation Come Home

Operation Come Home (OCH) is an innovative organization that offers a multitude of comprehensive programs and educational opportunities to clients. The organization’s mission is to prevent homeless youth from becoming homeless adults. Operation Come Home has created a unique approach that allows the youth accessing their programs to engage in a wide range of meaningful education and employment opportunities.

Prompted by a sense of social responsibility, La Maison Verte has a mission to grow quality greenhouse plants for reforestation, human consumption and landscaping so as to foster the employment of women in a stimulating work environment that promotes cooperation and innovation.

London Training Centre

London Training Centre has operated as a skills and training organization in London for more than 25 years, conducting enterprise to fund programs, bursaries and innovative pilots and services to enhance and support people’s movement forward towards their personal and professional goals.
